The veteran finance executive arrives at Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland’s Los Angeles-based film production, finance and international sales company having most recently served as CFO at Exclusive Media.

At Red Granite Hermann will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day financial operations and strategic financial planning, reporting directly to Aziz and McFarland.

“The addition of Randy as our CFO strengthens the company’s position in an unrelenting marketplace that requires the best, brightest and most passionate executives to move ahead and fulfill visions,” Aziz said.

“Randy is a highly valued leader with a successful track record involving strategic finance operations and company management at the highest levels,” McFarland added. “We will look to his financial expertise to further grow the company.”

Red Granite is in production on The Wolf Of Wall Street, which it is financing and co-producing with star Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and director Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions.

The slate includes supernatural fantasy Horns with Mandalay Pictures to star Daniel Radcliffe, Western The Brigands Of Rattleborge with Mythology Entertainment, which Park Chan-wook is attached to direct, and Alex Proyas’ The Unpleasant Profession Of Jonathan Hoag with Mythology, Phoenix Pictures and Mystery Clock Cinema.

At Exclusive Media, Hermann structured a corporate credit facility and facilitated financing on single films such as upcoming Toronto world premiere End Of Watch. Prior to that he was COO and CFO of Essential Entertainment and before that served as evp and CFO of Mandalay Pictures.
