The executive joined Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2008 as managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

In her new role Overall will lead strategy throughout the region and play a key role in the recently formed SPHE Worldwide Commercial Team.

Andrew Armstrong leaves SPHE this month after serving for 14 years, most recently as managing director for Northern Europe.

Prior to SPHE, Overall served as European vp of international sales and marketing at Paramount Home Entertainment and vp of international marketing for DreamWorks Home Entertainment, both based in London.

“I am very excited to move Kim into this new role. Not only will she drive our business in northern Europe, but she will be a key partner in driving our global strategies, innovation, and account business into the future,” said evp of worldwide commercial Matt Brown, to whom Overall will report.

“Kim’s impressive leadership both in launching the joint venture with Universal as well as growing the business into a market-leading position in Australia and New Zealand has made her extremely valuable to the company.”

Brown continued: “Andy’s career highlights are many and varied. He has played a significant role in the development of our business and has been an important contributor to the organisation we have today. He will be remembered by colleagues for his professional approach to every challenge he faced.”
