Director to attend screening of Testament of Youth, along with producer Rosie Alison, as it opens Leeds International Film Festival on Wednesday [Nov 5].

Director James Kent and producer Rosie Alison will attend the opening night of Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) on Wednesday [Nov 5].

Their film Testament of Youth, which was backed by Screen Yorkshire and was filmed primarily in the region, opens the festival and is followed by the world premiere of Dominic Brunt’s The Taking, with Brunt also in attendance along with cast members.

Other films in LIFF’s Yorkshire film line-up include Catch Me Daddy, X+Y, Mr Somebody? and To Hell With Culture.

Testament of Youth also leads into a programme of films and events commemorating the centenary of World War One on Remembrance Sunday [Nov 9], which will see a brand new digital print of Abel Gance’s J’accuse (1919) and Frank Borzage’s Seventh Heaven (1927), both presented with live organ accompaniment.
