Former marketing manager for Lionsgate has been appointed head of marketing for UK distributor.

Signature Entertainment has appointed Katherine Mills as head of marketing.

Previously marketing manager at Lionsgate, Mills will report to managing director Marc Goldberg when taking up the post in July. Signature’s slate for 2014 includes Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return and Made in America.

Goldberg commented: “Katherine arrives with a wealth of knowledge and experience, she has some great ideas that blend well with the momentum we have as a business. It’s fantastic for Signature and we are looking forward to adding such a rising industry star to our management team.”

At Lionsgate, Mills managed high profile titles such as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mad Men.
