The Hound of Heaven stars LA rapper Propaganda.

The Hound of Heaven, a short film exec produced by Hisao Kurosawa - son of iconic director Akira Kurosawa - is to receive its world premiere at Raindance Film Festival (Sept 24 - Oct 5) on Oct 4.

The film, directed by N.D. Wilson, is produced by Kurosawa Productions and is based on Francis Thompson’s 19th century poem.

Starring Jason Petty (aka LA rapper Propaganda) and Danielle Smith, it centres on a girl who believes that she is fleeing death, when she is actually running away from her only chance at life.

Executive Produced by Kurosawa and Brian Oxley, it is produced by Aaron Rench.

Kurosawa described it as “a striking film, simultaneously brimming with aggression and tenderness”.
