Karlovy Vary to host Borderline retrospective

Borderline Films: The First Ten Years will include screenings of shorts Buy it Now (for which Campos took first prize at the Cinéfondation at the Cannes Film Festival), The Last 15 and Mary Last Seen; Cannes Un Certain Regard entries Afterschool and Martha Marcy May Marlene as well as The Directors’ Fortnight entry Two Gates of Sleep and Simon Killer.

The retrospective will also include a “carte blanche” screening where the filmmakers will each select one of their favorite non-Borderline produced films to be screened at the Festival. The trio will also teach a master class at the festival and be accompanied by a number of actors and fixed members of their crew.

KVIFF’s artistic director Karel Och said: “We are very excited to share our deep appreciation of the work of Antonio, Sean and Josh with our festival audience. Karlovy Vary International Film Festival thrives on screening the best of unique, independent filmmaking from around the world and we’re honoured to welcome these true auteurs to our 48th edition.”
