MAD Solutions have joined distributor network Europa Distribution, becoming the association’s first member from an Arab country.
The Cairo- and UAE-based firm confirmed its membership of the network, which comprises 140 distributors across 28 countries.
“Joining such an influential association as Europe Distribution is a huge step forward towards the company’s aim of establishing strong international presence for Arab cinema.” said Alaa Karkouti of the pan-Arab distributor.
“We are very happy to welcome MAD Solutions as a new member,” said Christine Eloy, Europa Distribution’s general manager.
“It is great to have now an Egyptian distributor taking part to our activities and workshops so that they can share experience, good practices and processes with their European colleagues, while keeping a close look at EU films.”
Europa Distribution, founded in 2006 encourages integration and collaboration between its members. The network aims to improve the distribution of independent films on a global scale by strengthening ties between distributors.
