Paramount has pulled The Moon and the Sun from its release schedule.

Sean McNamara’s historical fantasy, starring Pierce Brosnan, William Hurt and Kaya Scodelario, was originally set for an April 10 release but is now undated.

The film centres on King Louis XIV (Brosnan) who, on a quest for immortality, captures and steals a mermaid’s life force, only for his illegitimate daughter to discover the creature.

Meanwhile, the studio has set Michael Carney’s Same Kind of Different as Me for an April 29, 2016. The film stars Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou and Greg Kinnear.
