Comedy will be in vein of Sausage Party, Superbad.

Seth Rogan at LFF 2011 to support 50/50

Point Grey Pictures and Good Universe will produce Good Boys, a comedy said to be in the vein of Sausage Party and Superbad.

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky will make their feature directorial debut from their screenplay about four 12-year-olds from the Los Angeles area who undertake an epic quest to replace a broken drone before their parents get home.

Point Grey principals Seth Rogen (pictured), Evan Goldberg and James Weaver will serve as producers, and Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake are executive producers. 

Josh Fagen is overseeing Good Boys for Point Grey and Brady Fujikawa for Good Universe.

Eisenberg and Stupnitsky are a writing-directing/producing team who won the 2007 WGA Comedy Series award for The Office.

They also wrote Bad Teacher starring Cameron Diaz.

Dan Freedman of Good Universe negotiated the deals on behalf of the producers. 

Point Grey Picture is in post on The Pact starring Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz and John Cena for Universal, and made Toronto selection The Disaster Artist, which A24 will distribute in the US on December 1. Flarsky is in production and stars Rogen alongside Chalize Theron.

Good Universe’s slate includes the three aforementioned films, as well as comedy Ibiza in pre-production.
