Agnieszka Holland, Michael Radford, Helen Mirren and Ryan Phillippe are amongst the talent attached to projects being showcased at the annual co-production event which takes place during the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax in September.

Now in its 14th year, the 2011 Strategic Partners co-production event will be taking place during the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Sept 15-18) with a spotlight on the US, Australia and South Africa.

London production company Corona Pictures will be amongst those hoping to find co-producers for their psychological thriller Obsession, about a Manhattan doctor who takes his wife’s latest lover hostage, starring Stellan Skarsgard and Ryan Phillippe.

Toronto-based Esctasy Films will be at the event with Deadlocked, a drama set against the troubles in Gaza starring Helen Mirren, produced by Rob Heydon.

Berlin-based Unafilm will be presenting a romantic comedy directed by Polish director Agnieszka Holland.

Other projects include Mythic, produced by Australia’s Odin’s Eye, Natural Justice, produced by South Africa’s Penguin Films, The Colony of Unrequited Dreams, produced by Canada’s Odd Sock Films and A Dream of Red Mansions, by Regina’s Minds Eye Entertainment, to be directed by BAFTA-winning Michael Radford.
