Amanda Seyfried is Gone for Lakeshore, Sierra / Affinity
Amanda Seyfried will star in Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s thriller which Lakeshore International and Sierra / Affinity will commence selling jointly at the EFM.
Summit Entertainment has acquired US rights to the story of a kidnap survivor who sets off to find the same serial killer whom she believes has now abducted her sister.
Production is scheduled to commence in April and Heitor Dhalia will direct from a script by Allison Burnett. Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing alongside Kimmel, Chris Salvaterra and Dan Abrams.
The project also marks the first new title on the newly formed Sierra / Affinity slate since that company launched in January..
“We’re very happy to be partnering with Lakeshore again,” Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s Jim Tauber said. “Gone is a thrilling project we believe will excite audiences and we’re looking forward to bringing the film to the big screen.”
“Amanda has had a remarkable career in such a short time and she is the perfect actress to play the smart and fearless heroine in Gone,” Rosenberg said. “She has proven to be an extraordinary talent and we’re excited to be working with her.”
“We are very excited to be distributing this film and working once again with both Lakeshore and Amanda as well our first production with Sidney Kimmel,” Summit co-chairman Rob Friedman said. “I have known Tom a long time and we are always looking for ways to work together and having a film starring Amanda is a great opportunity for us following her acclaimed performance in Letters To Juliet.”
Lakeshore, Sidney Kimmel and Summit are partnering on the upcoming production of Adaline. Lakeshore and Sidney Kimmel previously partnered on upcoming releases The Lincoln Lawyer and One For The Money. Lakeshore sold The Lincoln Lawyer and co-represented foreign rights with the former Sierra Pictures on One For The Money.
Nick Meyer unveiled Sierra / Affinity last month after merging Sierra with Michel Litvak’s Bold Films and Gigi Pritzker’s OddLot Entertainment.
Seyfried recently starred in Summit’s Letters To Juliet and will next be seen in Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood and Now directed by Andrew Niccol.
