LA-based American World Pictures’ sci-fi feature is directed by Mark Atkins and stars Corin Nemec and Brooke Hogan.

Cameron Larson wrote the screenplay about prehistoric sand-dwelling sharks who wreak havoc after they are released by an earthquake.

Sand Sharks will give a new meaning to a fish out of water story,” Atkins said. “The fish will be out of the water and in the air as they seek and destroy unsuspecting residents of White Sands.”

American World Pictures’ Mark L Lester and Dana Dubovsky and Remembering Dreams Productions’ Stan Spry serve as producers alongside Larson, Eric Scott Woods, Anthony Fankhauser and Scott Wheeler.

“Director Mark Atkins knows this genre all too well, and the cast was great to work with,” Dubovsky said. “Brooke Hogan is a natural in front of camera, this being her first feature film, she was an absolute pro.”
