Scott Glenn will star in the first project to emerge from Chapman Filmed Entertainment, the production company run through Chapman University’s Dodge College Of Film And Media Arts.

Trigger also stars Stephen Tobolowsky and Chris Coy and is styled as a character-driven thriller about a man and his son caught up in the obsessive pursuit of a monster. Principal photography is set to begin later this month in California.

Chapman alumnus Basel Owies directs from a script by Max Enscoe. Travis Knox, former svp of Storyline, produces Trigger while Bob Yari returns to the fray to serve as executive producer alongside William Immerman.

Bob Bassett, Chapman Filmed Entertainment CEO and dean of Dodge College Of Film And Media Arts, made the announcement on Thursday [14].

Chapman Filmed Entertainment is set up to produce four to six features per year budgeted from $250,000-$1.5m.

Knox handles all development and production for Chapman Filmed Entertainment while Barbara Doyle, a former production associate with Tri-Star, is executive in charge of physical production.
