The Fifty Shades Of Grey star has come on board Gidden Media and Good Universe’s adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book Forever, Interrupted: A Novel.

Amy Baer will produce through her Gidden Media while Johnson will also serve as executive producer alongside Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake of Good Universe and John Middleton and Roy Lee.

Good Universe’s Erin Westerman will oversee the project, about a young woman who forms a bond with the mother of her recently deceased husband.

Baer launched Gidden Media in November 2013 and has secured a seven-figure development fund through private investors. Good Universe handled international sales on her first feature as producer, Last Vegas.

Baer’s development slate includes drama A Storm In The Stars to be directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour; sports drama Sarge; Endurance based on a script by Steve Zaillian; true-crime drama The Brian Banks Story; ensemble comedy Sundance Is Bulls**t; and comedy The Wedding Detective.

Good Universe’s feature slate includes the recent hit Neighbors; Jonathan Levine’s upcoming Untitled Xmas Comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anthony Mackie for Sony Pictures; sci-fi thriller Extinction to be directed by Joe Johnston; Untitled R-Rated Comedy that Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg will produce; sci-fi/romance Departure written by Billy Ray.

Ghost House Pictures, Drake and Kahane’s partnership with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, is producing Poltergeist with MGM and Fox 2000 and producing The Day Of The Triffids to be directed by Mike Newell.
