Damian Lewis is to play Lord Capulet and Natascha McElhone will be Lady Capulet in the latest adaptation of Romeo And Juliet which has begun shooting in Italy, directed by Carlo Carlei from a script by Julian Fellowes.

Another Year actress Lesley Manville will star as the Nurse, Stellan Skarsgard as the Prince Of Verona, Christian Cooke has been cast as Mecutio, Tomas Arana as Lord Montague and Laura Morante as Lady Montague.

Screen Star of Tomorrow Douglas Boothe and Hailee Steinfeld were already confirmed as the leads, alongside Ed Westwick as Tybalt, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Benvolio and Paul Giamatti as Friar Laurence.

Shooting is taking place in Mantua and at Cinecitta Studios in Rome.
