The UK studio has recently played host to King Of Soho and Under The Skin and is currently the home of BBC talent show The Voice.

UK based Elstree Studios has reported a “record year” with sales up by 17% and profits increased seven fold in 2011/2012 compared to the previous year.

The studio has attracted a combination of TV and feature films over the last year, including on the feature film front, Michael Winterbottom’s King Of Soho and Jonathan Glazer’s Under The Skin.

On the TV side, Elstree played host to Dancing on Ice and is currently the home of the BBC’s new talent show The Voice.

Big Brother, now on the UK’s channel 5, has also renewed its contract to film at Elstree for another two years.

Last month it was announced that Creative England was expanding its presence into the East of England with the creation of two new posts - production liaison manager and production liaison coordinator - to be based at Elstree Studios and focusing on delivering location support.

Roger Morris, managing director of Elstree, will be in Cannes to promote the facility and its new location services.
