Principal photography on Wing Shya and Tony Chan’s follow-up to Hot Summer Days will begin on Mar 8 in Beijing and Sydney.

Aaron Kwok, Rene Liu, Eason Chan, Kwai Lun Mei, Angelababy and Jing Boran star in the ensemble rom-com and Xu Fan makes a special appearance.

Chan and Lucretia Ho, who previously collaborated on Hot Summer Days, wrote the screenplay and Fruit Chan is producing.

Love In Space follows a mother and her three grown-up daughters as they juggle their love lives. Each woman is successful in everything except love until they encounter romance in Beijing, Sydney and… the moon.

“Our concept is certainly something that has never been depicted in other romantic comedies before,” Chan said.

Huayi Brothers Media Corporation collaborated with FIP on Hot Summer Days and will distribute in China while Fox will release elsewhere in Asia. The film is being produced by FIP, Huayi Brothers and Hong Kong’s Sundream Motion Pictures.

“We could not be more thrilled to reunite with the same team behind Hot Summer Days,” FIP president Sanford Panitch said. “Wing and Tony have gone from two of the most anticipated directors in China to two of the most exciting filmmakers around and FIP is proud to once again work with them.”
