Prolific documentarian Alex Gibney will make a film about the iconic Frank Sinatra for the new Alcon Television Group and Frank Sinatra Enterprises.

The untitled four-hour mini-series will premiere on HBO and is described as an “up close and personal” look at the entertainer’s life featuring previously unseen footage from industry and home movies as well as private and professional performances.

Alcon Television Group, Frank Sinatra Enterprises, Kennedy-Marshall Company and Jigsaw Productions are the production companies and Jeff Pollack will serve as producer alongside Gibney.

The executive producers are Frank Marshall, Nancy Sinatra and Charles Pignone, as well as Alcon Television president Sharon Hall and Alcon co-founders and co-CEO’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.
