TV post production company to work on sound for Arthur Christmas and The Bachelor King; moves to Noel Street.

TV post production company Halo Post Production is expanding into film sound work, with the first major project on its slate set to be Sony Pictures and Aardman Features’ 3D film Arthur Christmas.

Halo has also been brought on to do the sound for The Bachelor King, the latest 3D feature documentary to be narrated by Sir David Attenborough and produced by Atlantic Productions. Halo previously did the sound for Flying Monsters.

As part of its expansion, the London based post house has moved into 25 Noel Street, the 10,000 sq ft premises previously occupied by MPC and more recently Pepper Post Production. The new facility is now open for business.

John Rogerson, CEO of Halo Post Production, who set up the company in 2004, told Screen that the facility would fill a gap in the market. “The UK film industry desperately needs quality dubbing stages like Studio one at Noel Street, not just for mixing British films but also for continuing the historic relationship London has with the big Hollywood studios.”

“I started in film, so it’s always been a long held ambition to get back into it,” added Rogerson.
