Italian comedy Come Non Detto and Spain’s La Banda Picasso, are among the host of new films on Screenbase.

Ivan Silvestrini has just started principal photography on his debut, Come Non Detto, which centres on a man who arrives in Rome to meet his in-laws, but first his partner must choose whether to tell his parents that he is gay. The comedy stars Josafat Vagni and Josè Dammert alongside Monica Guerritore, Ninni Bruschetta and Valeria Bilello. Silvestrini wrote the screenplay and Gugliemo Marchetti is producing for Mondo Entertainment. The film received funding from the Italian Ministry of Culture. Shooting will take place in Rome for five weeks and Moviemax will release it in Italy next autumn.

In Budapst shooting is underway on Fernando Colomo’s La Banda Picasso, which is based on the true story of how Pablo Picasso and Guillaume Apollinaire were accused of the robbery of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in Paris in 1911. The cast features Ignacio Mateos, Pierre Benézit, Lionel Abelanski as well as Jordi Vilches. Colomo wrote the script and the comedy is produced through his own company Colomo Producciones. Shooting will continue until the end of this month.
