Sylvie Testud will star in Diane Kurys’s drama Pour Une Femme while Thomas Arslan is currently shooting German western Gold [pictured].

Last month Diane Lurys started shooting Pour Une Femme, which stars Benoît Magimel, Sylvie Testud, Melanie Thierry, Nicolas Duvauchelle and Julie Ferrier. The story centres on a novelist with a lot of imagination, who is 35 years old, but still knows nothing about her past. Alexandre Films, EuropaCorp, France 3 Cinema and Rhône-Alpes Cinéma are jointly producing with Canal + and Ciné+ having provided financial backing. EuropaCorp has acquired international sales rights and will also release the film in France. Shooting is scheduled to wrap next month.

Nina Hoss [pictured] stars in Thomas Arslan’s western Gold, which is set during the Klondike goldrush in British Columbia and based on a screenplay by Arslan.Shooting. Principal photography started last week on location in British Columbia, Canada. Schramm Film Koerner & Weber is producing alongside ARD Degeto Film, ARTE, Bayerischer Rundfunk and WDR. Financing came from Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, BKM, the German Federal Film Board, the German Federal Film Fund and ILB-Brandenburg Gap Financing. The Match Factory is handling international sales while Piffl Medien will distribute locally in September next year.
