Newly added films to Screenbase include Daniel Alfredson’s Echoes From The Dead as well as Australian-UK co-production The Riders.

Shooting has just commenced on Daniel Alfredson’s Echoes From The Dead, which centres on a mother whose five-year-old son disappeared 20 years ago on Öland with no trace of him ever found. Alfredson and Ditta Bongenheilm wrote the script, which is based on Johan Theorin’s novel of the same name. Lena Endre will star alongside Tord Peterson and Thomas W Gabrielsson.

Produced by Yellow Bird, Fundament Film, Nouvago Capital and SVT, the film received financial support from the Swedish Film Institute. Shooting takes place in Cuba and Sweden and is scheduled to complete at the end of October. Zodiak Rights handles worldwide sales and has sold the drama already to Lumière (Belgium/Netherlands), Nordisk Film (Sweden), DRTV (Denmark), MTV3 (Finland), and TV2 (Norway).
