Yasmin Paige has been lined up to star in British drama Chicken while Fernando Trueba is preparing his upcoming feature La Reina De Espana.

Yasmin Paige, Chris New and Scott Chambers will star in Joe Stephenson’s directorial debut Chicken, which centres on two brothers who live in a caravan on someone else’s land. They have their lives turned upside down with the arrival of a new land-owner and his daughter. Stephenson will produce for B Good Picture Company alongside Tina Galovic for Bold Turtle Productions.  The story is based on Freddie Machin’s eponymous play, who adapted it together with New.

Fernando Trueba, whose The Artist And The Model just screened at the San Sebastian Film Festival, will reunite with Penelope Cruz for the sequel to Girl Of Your Dreams, which will be set 14 years later when the same actress moves back to Spain as a big Hollywood film begins to shoot in the country. Trueba wrote the screenplay for La Reina De Espana and will also produce with Cristina Huete through his company Fernando Trueba Producciones. Additional cast includes Santiago Segura and Antonio Resines.
