Kristin Scott Thomas and Michelle Williams will star in the adaptation of Suite Française; Bola Agbaje’s play Gone Too Far is turned into a film.

Irene Nemirovsky’s acclaimed novel Suite Française will be adapted for the big screen by Saul Dibb [pictured] and already has Kristin Scott Thomas and Michelle Williams attached. Dibb will also direct this drama about the tense love-affair between a young French woman (played by Williams) and the German officer assigned to supervise her in Nazi-occupied France. The film is a joint co-production between Alliance Films and Qwerty Films and has TF1 on board as a sales agent. Shooting is planned for sometime early next year.

Destiny Ekaragha will direct the film version of Bola Agbaje’s play Gone Too Far, about a brusque south London teenager who is fiercely at odds with his elder, Yoruba-speaking brother who is newly arrived from Nigeria. Malachi Kirby, O.C. Ukeje and Shanika Warren-Markland are set to star with shooting scheduled to commence on October 22. Christopher Granier-Deferre is producing for Poisson Rouge Pictures and the film also received financial backing from British Film Institute.
