Chloe Moretz and Asa Butterfield re-unite for White Circus and German director Christian Petzold prepares his new film Phoenix.

Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski will direct Chloe Moretz, Asa Butterfield and Andrea Riseborough in White Circus, a dark fairy tale with elements of black comedy, which revolves around a young pilot who crashes his plane in a war-torn town where he befriends a talking circus bear, falls in love with a cabaret singer and challenges a maniacal despot.

The international co-production is a joint venture by Canada’s Silo Corporation, France’s Kinology, Germany’s X-Filme Creative Pool and Serbia’s Works in Progress. Terry Gilliam is executive producing. Shooting is scheduled for next February and Kinology has also acquired international sales rights.
