Rory Gilmartin, previously of Brilliant Films, joins IFB, which is looking for two further project managers.

The Irish Film Board has appointed Rory Gilmartin to the role of project manager.

Gilamartin, who previously headed up production and development activities for UK based Brilliant Films and worked at New Legacy Film (where he served as UK co-producer on Summit/Constantin Film’s The Three Musketeers) and Impact Pictures, will begin in mid-November.

Gilmartin will manage projects across all genres from the development stage through production financing to cinema release and will be a port of call for development or production-funding applicants.

The Board aims to hire two other project managers in addition to Gilmartin by early 2013.

James Hickey, CEO of the Irish Film Board said: “We are delighted to welcome Rory to the role of project manager. His knowledge and understanding in the areas of development and production and his experience of working with creative talent will be of enormous benefit to the agency and the Irish film industry”.
