The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones is based on Cassandra Clare’s young adult fantasy series about a young girl in contemporary New York who learns she belongs to a cadre of warrior angels tasked with defending humans from demons.
Principal photography is earmarked for an Aug 20 start in Toronto with the previously announced Lily Collins in the lead.
Harold Zwart is directing the Constantin Film and Unique Features production from a screenplay by Jessica Postigo Paquette and I Marlene King.
Robert Kulzer and Don Carmody are producing and Unique’s Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne are executive producers alongside Constantin’s Martin Moszkowicz.
