Kate Hudson (pictured) is in final talks to join the cast of Alcon Entertainment-based 2S Films’ Something Borrowed.

Filming is set to commence in April on the ensemble romance, in which Hudson will play a woman whose best friend becomes involved with her fiancé.

Luke Greenfield is directing from Jennie Urman’s adaptation of Emily Giffin’s bestseller. Ginnfer Goodwin, Colin Egglesfield and John Krasinski also star.

Alcon Entertainment Co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing with 2S principals Hilary Swank and Molly Smith.

Aaron Lubin and Pamela Schein Murphy of Wild Ocean Films will also produce.
