Tracy Letts, Linda Emond and Danny Burstein have joined the cast of James Schamus’ directorial debut as production begins this week in and around New York. FilmNation handles international sales.

Indignation is based on Philip Roth’s novel about the son of a kosher butcher who clashes with the dean and administration of a 1950s Ohio college.

Schamus (pictured) adapted the screenplay to the Likely Story and Symbolic Exchange Productions enterprise that is being put together in association with RT Features and X-filme.

Previously announced Logan Lerman and Sarah Gadon are among the cast.

Anthony Bregman, Schamus and Rodrigo Texeira produce and Stefanie Azpiazu, Avy Eschenasy, Lourenço Sant’Ann, Lerman and Jonathan Bronfman are executive producers.
