Doug Davison will produce the trilogy by bestselling author Patrick Ness through Davison’s Quadrant Pictures

The books take place in a dystopian future on a colonised planet where a tyrant threatens to extend his grip at a time when a virus outbreak has rendered all thoughts audible.

Lionsgate’s president of production and development Alli Shearmur will oversee for the studio with svp of production Jim Miller.

The three books are called The Knife Of Never Letting Go, The Ask And The Answer and Monsters Of Men.

Lionsgate holds rights to Suzanne Collin’s The Hunger Games trilogy and is scheduled to release the first film next spring.
