Film London’s Production Finance Market has struck a new strategic partnership with Toronto’s International Financing Forum.

Under the new deal, IFF will select a Canadian producer to present a project at the PFM. The PFM has also selected a UK producer to present at this year’s IFF.

Sam Taylor [pictured] of Film & Music Entertainment is presenting her project Cassy and Jude thanks to the exchange. Dominic Murphy (who directed F&ME’s White Lightnin’) will direct the drama/comedy (formerly titled Cassandra At The Wedding).

And set to attend the PFM in London (Oct 19-20) are Canadian producers Scott Garvie and Patrick Cassavetti from Shaftesbury Films with the Prisoner of Tehran.

The PFM runs in association with the BFI London Film Festival, and the event also has ties to Ile de France Film Commission, Rome’s New Cinema Network, and Melbourne’s 37 South Market.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London said: “It is fantastic to be partnering with OMDC to not only give a UK producer the opportunity of attending IFF, but also to further broaden the PFM as a truly international Market.”

Karen Thorne-Stone, President and CEO of the Ontario Media Development Corporation added: “OMDC is delighted to partner with Film London in this new initiative which will give Ontario creators enhanced access to financing and business partnerships in the international marketplace”.
