Randall Emmett and George Furla have boarded the thriller from Alcon Entertainment and will fully finance the project, set to begin shooting in April 2013 in Pennsylvania.

Open Road is understood to be in final negotiations for US rights to the story of a down-at-heel limo driver who is offered money for his child’s surgery if he kills a mobster.

Ericson Core will direct from a screenplay by Matt Aldrich. Fair Trade is an adaptation of the Serbian film The Trap. Liam Neeson was originally committed to the project and the producers hope to bring him back for a lead role. Emmett, Furla and Bridge Films’ Matt Riklin are producing.
