Benjamin Bratt stars alongside newcomer Joel Evans and other actors of native descent including Kiowa Gordon and Tamara Podemski.

eOne holds worldwide rights to the coming-of-age story, which Christina Piovesan of First Generation Films is producing and Anita Doron directs.

First Generation’s credits include Amreeka and The Whistleblower. Telefilm Canada, eOne Canada, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and the Harold Greenberg Fund are partners on the film.

Doron adapted the screenplay from native Canadian writer Richard Van Camp’s debut novel.
