UK based production company Realm Pictures is producing a series of five short films set entirely underwater.

Directed by David M Reynolds, shooting has already been underway on the project - Underwater Realm - on the Devon and Cornish coast, at Pinewood Studios and in the Red Sea.

The film is being crowd funded through Kickstarter, with a target of £60,000 to be raised by January 2012.

Pitched as “Lord Of The Rings underwater”, the films explore the ways human kind has come into contact with a mysterious aquatic race over the last 2000 years.

The project is due to premiere at Raindance Film Festival in 2012.
