The film is the winning project to come out of Northern Ireland Screen’s New Talent Focus scheme for local writers.

UK producer Robert Jones is to produce Belfast set microbudget feature A Patch Of Fog, written by Michael McCartney and John Cairns.

The script was chosen as the winner of Northern Ireland Screen’s New Talent Focus scheme which is an annual scheme aimed at encouraging Northern Irish screenwriting talent. The winning project was announced at a lunch hosted by Northern Irish Screen in Cannes.

Jones describes the film as a “cat and mouse thriller, an inverse buddy movie where you are never quite sure who has theupper hand.”
