The thriller is based on an original story by Atom Egoyan. eOne Films handles international sales, while eOne will distribute in Canada and ARP Selection in France.

Egoyan and David Fraser co-wrote the screenplay to the Ego Film Arts and The Film Farm project. Principal photography is set to commence in February in Ontario.

Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman and Mireille Enos are among the previously announced cast.

Reynolds will play the father of an abducted child who learns eight years later that she may still be alive. Dawson will play the detective who becomes closely involved in the case.

Egoyan produces with Simone Urdl, Jennifer Weiss and Stephen Traynor.

“Ryan Reynolds and Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson and Mireille Enos – Atom Egoyan has assembled a powerful cast to tell this riveting story of a father searching for his missing daughter,” said Sally Caplan, managing director of eOne Films International.

“Under Atom’s direction, these dynamic, internationally-acclaimed actors will touch and thrill audiences around the world. We are delighted to be involved with Queen Of The Night.”
