Rabbit Bandini Productions, Point Grey and Good Universe have announced that Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber have come on to adapt The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room.

As previously announced, James Franco will direct and star as the notorious European director Tommy Wiseau in the adaptation of Greg Sestero and journalist Tom Bissell’s book. Franco will also play Sestero.

The story chronicles the author’s involvement in the making of Wiseau’s cult film The Room, which was originally released in 2003 and has gone on to be known as one of the best worst films ever made.

Franco’s Rabbit Bandini is producing The Disaster Artist alongside Point Grey and Good Universe. Erin Westerman is overseeing for Good Universe.

Neustadter and Michael Weber’s co-writing credits include global summer smash The Fault In Our Stars as well as The Spectacular Now and 500 Days Of Summer.
