Production is underway in Valencia and Madrid on Summit Entertainment, Intrepid Pictures and Galavis Film’s action thriller The Cold Light Of Day starring Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver.

As was previously announced Henry Cavill, Veronica Echegui, Oscar Jaenada, Caroline Goodall, Roschdy Zem, Joseph Mawle, Rafi Gavron and Emma Hamilton will also star in the US-Spanish production.

Summit Entertainment will distribute the film in the US and is handling international sales.

The Spanish shoot is scheduled to continue until November 13 and will also take place over several weeks on the stages at Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante.

Mabrouk El-Mechri is directing from an original screenplay by Scott Wiper and John Petro with revisions by Richard Price.  Intrepid principals Trevor Macy and Marc D Evans will produce along with Galavis Film’s Jesus Martinez.

Steven Zaillian from Film Rites, Kevin Mann and Matthew Perniciaro of Picture Machine will serve as executive producers alongside Wiper.

The Cold Light Of Day centres on a young American whose family is kidnapped while on vacation in Spain, sparking a frantic search for the link between their disappearance and his father’s secrets.

Summit president of production Erik Feig and senior vice-president of acquisitions and co-productions Michael Schaefer will oversee the project for the studio.
