Nicholas Hoult will star for Summit Entertainment in the story of an angst-ridden zombie who forms a friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims.

Jonathan Levine will commence production this summer and adapted Isaac Marion’s upcoming novel. Levine is currently in post on the comedy drama 50/50 and his credits include The Wackness and All The Boys Love Mandy Lane.

Bruna Papanadrea is producing through her Make Movies label and Laurie Webb and Cori Shepherd Stern serve as executive producers. 

Hoult will next be seen in X-Men: First Class and is about to start shooting Jack The Giant Killer. He is also attached to star opposite Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron for director George Miller in Warner Bros’ Fury Road. His credits include Clash Of The Titans, A Single Man, and About A Boy.

Summit’s president of production Erik Feig and vice-president of production Gillian Bohrer will oversee the project for the studio.
