Tom Vaughan, whose credits include Starter For 10 and What Happens In Vegas, will direct the literary adaptation Tom Jones for the UK’s CrossDay Productions.

CrossDay’s Janette Day is producing the Henry Fielding adaptation and has corralled the writing partnership of Matthew Faulk and Mark Skeet to adapt. Tom Jones is scheduled to shoot on location in the UK in the first quarter of 2014.

Fielding’s vast novel The History Of Tom Jones, A Foundling was published in 1749 and is a regarded as a classic comedy and social commentary about a lustful young man and his amorous exploits.
