The studio has set April 21 2017 as the date for a new monster franchise film from Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan.
Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Film will be the next property from the studio’s vaults after the upcoming 2016 revival of The Mummy, which Kurtzman directs and produces.
Kurtzman wrote and served in a producorial capacity on both Star Trek reboots, while Morgan wrote several entries in the Fast & Furious series and served as executive producer on the sixth film.
