Liam Neeson has joined the cast of Lionsgate’s Pour Elle remake The Next Three Days, written and to be directed by Paul Haggis.

Russell Crowe stars as John Brennan, an ordinary man driven to desperate measures when his wife is convicted of murder.

Elizabeth Banks plays his wife and Neeson joins a supporting cast that includes Brian Dennehy, Lennie James, Olivia Wilde, Aisha Hinds and rapper RZA.

Haggis and Michael Nozik are producing through their Highway 61 Films alongside Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc of Fidélité Films.

Filming is underway in and around Pittsburgh and is scheduled to wrap on December 12.
