EXCLUSIVE: Vertigo teams with Germany’s SquareOne Entertainment on third dance spectacular; Theo Stevenson, Akai, Ashley Jensen among cast.
Vertigo’s family comedy All Stars is underway in London.
German production outfit SquareOne Entertainment has boarded Vertigo’s third dance spectacular as co-producer, with actress Ashley Jensen joining the cast.
Ben Gregor makes his feature debut on Vertigo’s 25th production from a script by Paul Gerstenberger.
Horrid Henry’s Theo Stevenson and StreetDance 2’s Akai star as two kids trying to bring together a group of misfits and put on the show of a lifetime in order to save their beloved youth centre.
Jensen (Nativity, Arthur Christmas) will play a youth club leader.
Producer Allan Niblo of Vertigo commented: “We are delighted to be working with Ben Gregor on his directorial debut, he is a truly talented, visionary who’ll be bringing his originality and unique sense of humour to All Stars.”
James Richardson, also producing, added: “Ashley Jensen is an amazing actress and we are thrilled she has joined the cast as Gina. It’s great to be working with Akai and Theo again, they are both exceptionally talented young actors. The film will be fun filled entertainment for all the family”.
Exec producer Al Munteanu said: “We are proud to team up with Vertigo on our first co-production. There’s a fantastic creative team involved and we’re looking forward to the final movie.”
