The studio has came on board to handle film and television rights on the action property while Imagine’s Brian Grazer will serve as producer.

LA-based Blacklight Transmedia created the property with Chad St John. Blacklight founder Zak Kadison, a former senior executive at Fox and Gold Circle, will produce alongside Grazer (pictured).

The parties are keeping details of the story under wraps, however Blood Wars is understood to be a radical reinvention of mythology involving a human rebellion against vampire rule. Dalan Musson is on board to write the screenplay.

Jon Berg will oversee production for Warner Bros and Sarah Bowen will perform the same role for Imagine. Eric Lieb will serve as executive producer.

Blacklight is separately developing video game and comic book content related to the Blood Wars universe.
