Anders Walter will direct 1492 Pictures/Ocean Blue Entertainment, Treehouse Pictures, Man Of Action Entertainment and XYZ Films’ graphic novel adaptation.

XYZ handles international sales and has licensed rights to Sun in Latin America, Falcon in the Middle East, Abbolita in southeast Asia, South Africa, Greece, Portugal and Turkey and Entertainment In Motion for airlines.

Treehouse is financing I Kill Giants, which Anders Walter directs from Joe Kelly’s graphic novel about a misfit girl who battles monsters both real and imagined.

Chris Columbus, Justin Nappi, Kim Magnusson and XYZ Films produce. Ken Niimura wrote the screenplay and illustrated the graphic novel.

Saldana will play a school psychologist who helps the youngster, to be played by Madison Wolfe who also stars in Trumbo and Joy.

Production is set to begin in early 2016.
