Heading into Sundance and Berlin Bill Block Media has struck an exclusive sales deal with Red Granite International as Block continues to focus his energies on producing and financing.

Under the agreement the parties will explore co-financing and co-producing opportunities. The plan calls for Block to make three to four films a year.

He will also serve as executive producer on select titles that do not originate at Bill Block Media that Red Granite may or may not sell.

In recent years Block, the founder of QED International who has since parted ways with the owners of that company, has been developing his producer activities.

He produced the comedy Dirty Grandpa starring Robert De Niro and Zac Efron that Lionsgate opensin the US on January 22 and the upcoming comedy Bad Moms that STX Entertainment handles worldwide. Mila Kunis and Christina Applegate star and shooting is set to kick off this month.

Block also produced Oliver Stone’s W., Fading Gigolo starring Woody Allen and John Turturro, David Ayer’s Fury starring Brad Pitt and Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium. He served as executive producer on Blomkamp’s breakout film District 9.

Red Granite Pictures co-produced and co-financed with worldwide distributor Paramount the Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg comedy hit Daddy’s Home, currently on $155m worldwide.

Red Granite International handles sales on the upcoming Bryan Cranston drama Wakefield and sold global hit The Wolf Of Wall Street as well as Dumb And Dumber To.
