The producer has joined Miramax on the eve of Sundance as svp of acquisitions and co-productions.

Korenberg reports to Miramax svp Zanne Devine, Korenberg will source acquisition titles and co-production opportunities to exploit the library.

The new hire most recently worked with Miramax as a producer and strategic consultant on productions and acquisitions. She serves as executive producer on Miramax’s upcoming release The 9th Life Of Louis Drax starring Jamie Dornan that is currently in post-production.

Korenberg’s producer credits include Half Nelson and she was an executive producer on Hard Candy. She previously served as vp of worldwide acquisitions at 20th Century Fox and svp of Constantin Film. 

Miramax and Sony’s Screen Gems just collaborated on the release of Kevin Hart comedy The Wedding Ringer, which debuted at number three in North America over the MLK holiday weekend on $24m.

Miramax will next release the imminent Berlinale world premiere Mr. Holmes starring Ian McKellen and Laura Linney in partnership with Roadside Attractions.

The company’s television division is gearing up for season two of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn – The Series with El Rey Network.
