Event cinema specialist Arts Alliance has upped Ross Fitzsimons, formerly head of art and classical, to head of sales and marketing.

Former Curzon exec Fitzsimons led the distribution of the last and current season of Royal Opera House screenings for Arts Alliance as well as their Exhibition on Screen programme.

While at Curzon Fitzsimons helped launch on-demand platform Curzon on Demand.

Fitzsimons said: “In my new role as head of sales and marketing, I’m looking forward to bringing our outstanding opera, ballet, art exhibitions and live theatre, and the best rock and pop films to the cinema, and to reaching an ever bigger audience around the world, the majority of whom would never otherwise be able to experience these events live.”

Upcoming screenings by Arts Alliance in 2015 include Shakespeare’s Globe on Screen 2015 season, operas and ballets from London’s Royal Opera House and Exhibition on Screen. ​
