Sociedad General de Autores y Editores to sponsor audience award for the first time at this year’s festival.

Michael Haneke’s Palme d’Or winner Amour and Paolo & Vittorio Taviani’s Berlin Golden Bear winner Caesar Must Die are among the films selected for San Sebastian’s Zabaltegi-Pearls section for the 60th edition of the festival, which runs Sept 21-29.

Other films picked include Bart Layton’s critically acclaimed documentary The Imposter and Ken Loach’s comedy The Angels’ Share, which has been selected the section’s closing film.

Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE) and Fundación Autor sponsor the audience award, with all the films selected eligible for the SGAE-Fundación Autor Audience Award. The winning film will receive €60,000 and an additional €20,000 will be awarded to the European film with the most votes.
