United Talent Agency has signed Italian director Saverio Costanzo days after IFC snapped up US rights to his acclaimed psychodrama Hungry Hearts.
The film, which earned Coppa Volpi awards for leads Adam Driver and Alba Rohrwacher, screened at the AFM this week where Radiant Films International handles non-US sales.
Rome-born Costanzo’s previous feature The Solitude Of Prime Numbers was nominated for a Golden Lion at Venice 2010 and earned Rohrwacher that year’s Pasinetti Award.
His first film Private won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival in 2004.
He has also directed the Italian TV series In Treatment for Sky Cinema.
